Another Spring, I’ll Take It

CT Scan  #14 since I left the hospital with my stage 4 Lung Cancer diagnosis. It is so nerve wrecking each time I get a scan and wait for the Oncologist appt for the scan to get reviewed and new findings explained.

Scan #14 brought some great findings for me. It showed that the node I have under my left arm has shrunk even more since scan #13. I was quite shocked to learn  that the node can continue to shrink even though it has been 6 months since the radiation treatments. There is scar tissue in the left lung which apparently is a result of the radiation treatments.  We also discussed my traveling kidney stone which is taking it’s sweet old time to pass oer the past 9 months. It is a bit on the larger size and is having some difficulty leaving my body. May need to do some blasting but for the time being I am not ready for more appointments so I will see what happens.. The winter holidays were so memorable and I remain blessed with more time than I ever expected. I keep making new goals to live for and right now my biggest goal is to live to meet my next two grandchildren on their way in July and September. My family remains truly blessed and continues to grow. I thank you Lord for all the blessings you allow me on a daily basis and I thank my family for all the love and support you continue to offer me through this time.  I don’t want to leave out updates on my beautiful grandchildren so here they are. Leighton is now driving, Tommy has joined the Airforce and leaves soon for boot camp. Shayla is a teen beauty queen doing awesome in schooling. Emma is progressing in team gymnastics and Holly is now in soccer. Reagan is our little John Wayne, Joseph is our little adventurer with Levi masting potty training and Theopolis is as sweet as they come. God willing I will be updating again in late June or early July. Enjoy everyday with your glass half full making memories that stay with you a lifetime.
