2023 Thanksging

My third Thanksgiving since my diagnosis and counting. I hope everyone took a good look at all they really have to b thankful for in your lives. Sooo many things to be thankful for this year. Since I have been diagnosed I had learned of 4 new cases of cancer involving my friends and their relatives. All of the cases were quite intense and two were quite rare. Three of them have been blessed and are now cancer free. Sometimes I wish I could hear those words but I know that is not possible. However, know this. I refuse to believe I am dieing anytime soon as I still have so much life to live and. More grandchildren to meet in the future. Today I had a cardiologist appointment and had not seen him in many months. He shook my hand for making his day today after explaining how surprised he was when he he saw me. He said he was amazed that I was still here with all that I was diagnosed with. I told him I would see him in six months. For now I am on a monitor for the next two weeks to track my AFib as it has been acting up. Sure is nice to make his day. Moving forward I have begun to plan for my family gathering of Christmas 2023. Unfortunately Jen and her family will not make it but they will be enjoying their Christmas on the road this year. They will be back in June. I miss them terribly but their adventures far outweigh what they would experience here in ct. The rest of my family will gather in our new house and make our first Christmas memory here. I picked four names from the Angel Tree at Boscovs to provide some smiles for those less fortunate. So lucky to have this opportunity.

  2. I am so glad you are still with us. Congratulations on your new home ! I was in the hospital this week thinking I had another blockage, Thank The Lord it was not the case, but it’s scar tissue tugging at my insides from my surgery in 2015. I now need to schedule elective surgery to correct it after the New Year. Painful but Blessed it didn’t return. I Pray for you every night and I know you are a strong woman and that you got this with God on your side !!! I wish you and Peter a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year. Love y’all ❤️❤️❤️
